Homeless

With four words to illustrate I set out to show a different side of homeless-ness. Touched by the memoir 'Stuart: A life Backwards' (Alexander Masters) based on the life of homeless man Stuart Shorter, I saw this different way of life in a very new light...a happy one, and I wanted to convey this.
"I HATE PEOPLE WHO ARN'T HAPPY, LOOK AT ME: NO JOB, NO HOME, BUT I'M ALWAYS HAPPY" - STUART SHORTER

Materials: modeling clay, scrap materials and other bits and bobs.

My photo
Jessie harlin
Hello and welcome to my illustrations! I am a model maker/illustrator who with clay and various other materials creates models which I then photograph to produce either stand alone illustrations or stories. Body language and expression are key elements in my work as this is what I feel can bring a little model to life. Although still in the photographs I have taken so far, the models I make have working armatures suitable for stop motion animation, a process I plan to experiment with soon. If you have any queries or interest please don't hesitate to get in touch :) Hope you enjoy having a nose, Jessie x
